The Macallan Harmony Collection Vibrant Oak Edition Release
Macallan returns with the fourth edition of its Harmony Collection, this time taking inspiration from the world-famous Cirque du Soleil, the largest and most renowned contemporary circus theatre production globally.
The Harmony Collection showcases Macallan’s commitment to sustainability by using innovative techniques and natural materials in its packaging of single malt whisky. Throughout this series, we’ve explored cacao with Jordi Roca (from El Celler de Can Roca, a two-time Best Restaurant in the World), savored arabica coffee with Coffee Masters, and wandered through Scottish meadows with the McCartney sisters.

Each edition in the Harmony Collection has featured two variants: a limited release with a higher proof and a Global Travel Retail version at a lower proof. Both variants have embraced the theme of sustainability, utilizing recycled materials such as discarded cacao husks, coffee bean husks, and meadow cuttings.
For the fourth edition, the Macallan Harmony Collection Vibrant Oak in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil, we’ve gotten a sneak peek at a rather blurry back label from Macallan (seriously, just take a look below).

The label reads:
“Vibrant Oak is a magical collaboration with Cirque du Soleil, celebrating 200 years of The Macallan.
This release highlights the importance of wood to The Macallan, from the oak casks that make our whisky unique to the creative reuse of natural materials.
Oak chippings, a by-product from crafting our casks, are used in the packaging box and bottle labels.
The whisky is matured in a mix of first fill sherry seasoned American oak casks and refill casks. These are carefully selected to provide the classic American oak flavors of vanilla, citrus, and sweet oak, with a medium sweet finish that lingers.”

The new Macallan Harmony Collection Vibrant Oak is bottled at 44.2% ABV and will likely have its own Global Travel Retail variant.
