De Tok Barneveld distillery
Since 2016, De Tok has been a labor of love, driven by a passion for the craft. We started with distilling coffee liqueur, and after much tasting and testing, we found the perfect balance of ingredients within a few months. Using self-roasted beans from Sofia’s Coffee, our coffee liqueur has become our bestseller! When we realized its popularity, we expanded our range to include flavors such as licorice, honey, and orange bitters. During the King’s Day celebrations, orange bitters are a huge hit, while licorice and honey are enjoyed year-round.
Due to high demand for gin, we decided to create our first gin. After months of testing, we found the right formula. Having won several tastings, including against Jonnie Gastro’s gin, it was clear our gin was exceptional.
In 2017, we began making whisky. Currently, several whiskies are aging in different barrels. Since 2021, we have been using barley from our own cultivation. This barley is grown without artificial fertilizers or chemical pesticides. It is cultivated and distilled in a traditional manner, and you can taste the difference!
