Wat is whisky? Een gedistilleerde drank van gefermenteerd graan, gerijpt op houten vaten. De naam komt van uisge beatha (Gaelisch voor 'water des levens'). Wettelijk vereist: minimaal 40% alcohol en 3 jaar rijping op eikenhout.
