History

De Witte Wieven was founded by Hans Visser (owner of the liquor store “Whisky en Whiskey” in Zuidwolde) and Henk Zanting (owner of a stainless steel machining company). Hans’ store sells various whiskies, vintage rums, gin, cognac and more. It also accommodates exclusive whisky tastings. 

The gentlemen decided to put their Master Distiller’s licences (attained in Belgium) to the test. Hans and Henk used self-made copper stills to create their first ten casks in 2020.
