Description
De Macallan Edition No. 3 werd in 2017 gelanceerd als het derde hoofdstuk in de Edition-serie en is het resultaat van een unieke samenwerking tussen Master Whisky Maker Bob Dalgarno en Master Perfumer Roja Dove. Deze release legt de nadruk op aroma en de zintuiglijke ervaring van whisky.
Voor Edition No. 3 selecteerde Dalgarno zes verschillende vattypen van Europese en Amerikaanse eik, afkomstig van twee Spaanse cooperages. De vaten van Tevasa leveren een zwaardere, rijkere basis, terwijl de vaten van Hudosa frisse citrusnoten toevoegen. Deze balans tussen diepte en frisheid maakt deze whisky bijzonder toegankelijk én complex.
In de neus vind je sinaasappelschil, vanille, nootmuskaat en lichte bloemen. De smaak is zoet en fruitig met sinaasappel, pure chocolade, gedroogd fruit en kruiden. De afdronk is lang met zoete eik en citrus.
Gebotteld op 48,3% zonder toegevoegde kleur. Een prachtig voorbeeld van hoe vakmanschap en creativiteit samenkomen in één fles.
