STEP 1 Activate your account
You are not logged in yet. After registering an account, you will receive an email with an activation link. Click the activation link in that email.
Haven’t received an email yet? First check your spam folder. You should receive an activation email within a few minutes of registering a new account.
STEP 2 Identity & Payment Verification
To participate fully on WannaWhisky, we ask you to complete a short verification step. This information is collected and securely processed by Stripe, our trusted global payment partner — not by WannaWhisky itself.
Stripe will request basic identity and contact details (such as your name, date of birth, address, phone number, and limited banking information). This is required to comply with alcohol sales regulations and to ensure all buyers and sellers operate on the same verified footing.
WannaWhisky never stores or processes your payment or banking details. All sensitive financial data is handled and secured entirely on Stripe’s servers, using industry-standard security and compliance measures.
Completing this step helps keep the marketplace safe, compliant, and fair for everyone.
Maximum Safety for Buyers and Sellers
Safety and reliability are central to how WannaWhisky operates. That’s why we use a verification process for both buyers and sellers. Completing this process unlocks the full functionality of the platform and allows transactions to run smoothly from start to finish.
Verification is required for several reasons. Whisky contains alcohol, and the sale of alcohol is subject to strict age and regulatory requirements. We verify user details to ensure the platform is used responsibly and in line with applicable laws, protecting both users and the long-term integrity of the marketplace.
In addition, sellers are required to provide basic payout information. This ensures that when a sale is completed, proceeds can be transferred promptly and securely, without delays, manual follow-ups, or uncertainty after the transaction.
Beyond compliance, verification provides clarity and confidence for everyone involved. Buyers and sellers can participate knowing that transactions are legitimate, properly handled, and supported by a platform designed around trust and accountability.
